Groundwork works closely with schools using the environment as a tool in lively and stimulating ways to help them meet the attainment targets of the National Curriculum at all key stages. Groundwork's education programmes aim to encourage young people to act responsibly towards their environment. Groundwork not only teaches the pupils, but also holds training workshops to support teachers and encourage them to include the environment into all parts of school life. We also provide teachers with practical support to help with their environmental studies.
In all of its educational programmes Groundwork works in partnership with local and national organisations including the Department for Education and Skills, businesses and councils. By working alongside other people, we ensure that our educational projects are of the very highest standards.
Young people have immense potential to influence the quality of life in their communities. They can provide positive solutions to some of the challenges facing our neighbourhoods.
