Case Study - Ceres Court
Ceres Court Community Garden

In 2003 Groundwork Kent & Medway held a community consultation with the aim of improving the green space around the flats. The consultation led to a funding bid which was used to finance physical improvements and a community garden project which was completed in the summer of 2005.
The garden was designed by local residents and was implemented by Groundwork. The garden was named 'Rachael’s Garden' after the sad death of Ceres Court resident Rachael Lees who had been involved from the beginning in the residents group and was a key member of the project group.
